Here are some ways to connect with other members during this time of COVID-19.
PPE Needed for our WIM Members
There has been a call for Personal Protective Equipment. This spreadsheet can be used to connect those who are in need with those who are able to give.
Resource for WIM Members
Emotional Brain Training (EBT) is an excellent tool to help handle the high-stress states of this pandemic, in our roles as physicians, fellows, and medical students. Dr. Laurel Mellin, who founded the method, has given popular workshops at our WIM meetings at Tahoe and Vermont. She has offered a consultation to any WIM member, to teach you the basic tools, give you the app for your phone, and the option to participate in a telephone group with other WIM members for 6 weeks, all free of charge. Please call her at 1-415-272-4077.
Testimonial by WIM member Patty Robertson: I have been using EBT for the past ten years to decrease stress for myself, and I have also used EBT with my colleagues when they are distressed about a poor outcome, or with my children. What I love about EBT, is the quickness of the tool, like straight-forward surgery and not a lot of “fluff”. Using EBT as a tool has changed my happiness to a higher level with my work and my life, despite the continuing stresses.
