Mentoring Programs

Each year WIM creates a conference-long mentoring program, pairing medical students
and attendings based on fields of interest, geography, and other preferences. This is an
incredible opportunity for students to learn from those of us "who've been there," to
network, to strategize, and plan your careers. Don't miss out!!

The WIM Mentorship Committee is pleased to announce a new way for WIM members to support each other — through mentorship!

The committee was formed because we believe mentorship is one of the strongest aspects of WIM and we want to make it even stronger.

The first step towards strengthening and expanding the WIM mentoring network will be a member survey to find out from WIM members if they would like to be a WIM mentor, and in what areas they themselves would like mentoring in. The link to the survey can be found at the link below. Please fill out the survey if you want to be a mentor, mentee or BOTH!

The link to the survey is here: http://tinyurl.com/ hs4kqth

Please fill out this survey by May 20But don’t wait that long -- go ahead and do it now!

Once the surveys are returned, the WIM Mentorship Committee will match mentors and mentees and put them in touch with one another. We also hope that this will help give a jump-start to lots of great connections at the conference. We aim to have a pool of mentors in different areas such as parenting, leadership, retirement, work-life balance, etc also available. Please join us in this exciting venture!
